Hello everyone;

My apologies upfront because I know this subject is super old (is iPad mini 4 worth it etc.)..
(Yes I know it is old, yes it is not the best device for the buck..)

Once we had put that aside; I still own an iPad mini 2 with lte & 32gb. I am planning on selling it online and get myself a new iPad mini 4 128gb from best buy with their new black friday sale (274$).
My main concern is that ipad mini 2 is getting pretty slow and if I can sell it around 170-200$ it will be only 70-100$ to upgrade to a new iPad mini.

What do you guys think? Is it worth the hassle? Is it worth upgrading?

If you love the form factor I’d say the mini 4 is your only option. It’s getting a bit dated but, having 2gb of ram will help it last awhile as far as updates are concerned. It may slow down as more demanding features are added to each new version of iOS but, it will be much better than the mini 2

I did exactly that and think it was well worthwhile, but there's no getting around the fact that the Mini 4 is not exactly current hardware, either.

If you do, I would be very cautious about iOS 11. I had 11.0 and 11.0.1 on my Mini 4, and it was not a good experience. I went back to 10.3.3.

YES! I did exactly the same thing last summer when BB had the same sale.
