I want to sell my iphone6+ I just unlocked it through ATT's website but I still owe about 6-7 payments on NEXT. Am I okay to sell it? I will continue to pay my monthly payment for the financing but how does it work since my phone is unlocked? Been trying to find answers everywhere but can't seem to find anything similar to my situation. Can I still cancel the data/minutes/texting portion and just pay the actual iphone6+ financing part?

It depends, if you are selling it to a friend and they are ok with the fact that you owe a few payments on the phone and you will pay it off then no problem there. But if you are gonna sell it lets say on eBay or craigslist and the buyer calls apple or Att to see if it got a clean IMEI, it will probably let the person know it hasn't been paid off and they will prolly not buy it. Your phones IMEI is linked to your account until it's been paid off.

They don't typically unlock until phone is completely paid for, so that strikes me as odd. As was said above, I wouldn't buy a phone that isn't paid for b/c I have no guarantee that the seller will continue making payments. If they don't, phone will get blacklisted.

Are you sure it's unlocked? It's odd that ATT allowed the unlock when it has not been paid off. Did you get the confirmation email that it has been unlocked and to restore it from iTunes? Or simply submitted a device unlock request on ATT.com?
