Hi guys

my imac is just collecting dust.. it has been for some years now, so i've decided i should sell it

My worries are my internet history (porn etc *embarrassed face*) and some personal photos

i've heard clearing cookies and internet history doesnt do much, so how do i clear everything?

Also, can someone give me an idea how much i can expect to get for this?

I dont know the specs, but i do know it what the top of the range model, bought in 2007 (largest screen etc)

Thanks

I don't know about how much you should get for it but the best way to 'clear' the machine is to create a new identity. Go to Preferences, Users and Groups, click the + in the lower left corner and add a new account - making that account have Admin privileges. After you've done that delete the account you currently use.

A dual core imac.. I would wonder if it really has any serious value. Have you ever thought about donating it to a needy family or charity. The value in Karma is probably far more than $$ value you will get for cash.

I gave my porn ridden 2007 iMac to a family member, and as I formatted the storage drive and reinstalled Mac OS X, that family member had to get her own porn.
