Could some folks here tell me if its safe for me to post pics of my NIB iPhone showing the IMEI and serial info of the phone? Or should I keep that private when posting a sale ad? This goes for here on the forum in the marketplace, swappa, and also on eBay.

I’d post imei so ppl can verify it’s clean and not blacklisted

I listed everything, what could they do with that info?

I dunno why but I figured with that info they might able to blacklist the phone or something else along the lines so I was a bit hesitant at just posting it on my marketplace thread, as well as other places I posted it up at.

No they can’t blacklist because apple can look back to who bought it and etc

Normally, I would keep it private. I will mention if the device is paid off or under EIP and if locked to any carrier. I would only send IMEI if there is an interested buyer. If you want to minimize the amount of message then you can post the IMEI number. If you’re selling on Swappa, their system will automatically check it for you and they only allow clean device and paid off.

Use Swappa.com. They’ll test the imei for you so you don’t have to give it out to anyone.
