I have an iPhone X (64 gb) bought it a few weeks after it came out. I really want to sell it and make the most of what it is worth currently and buy the iPhone 11. the price value of iPhone 11 is just too good, thats why I'm leaning towards it, and iphone X prices seems like its going down steadily every month. I dont even wanna know how much my iPhone X will be worth in 2020.

ebay right now has an average price of about $430 to 450 for the iPhone X 64 gb (10% ebay cut)
swappa has it listed as $471

I'll also consider Facebook marketplace, had used it without issues in the past

I could also trade it in to apple for $400, but it sucks I don't qualify for the apple iphone upgrade program coz i'm not with the big 4 USA carriers. I use cricket wireless. so i might not go this route and rather sell it privately.

any suggestions is appreciated.

Swappa is probably the most lucrative option, however, Facebook marketplace you’ll probably deal with more upfront individuals locally in your area with cash in hand, but they also probably try and talk you down on the price as well.

As for eBay, _absolutely hard pass_, do not waste your time with amount of fraud that follows suit if you decide to risk selling your device on that site.

Mac Me an Offer will give you $440 at the moment for that model iPhone X. They pay for the label to send it to them and there are no fees if you have them mail you a check. Good company and I have sold several phones over the years to them.

You can still trade in at Apple store. You may lose some money compared to private sale, but it saves a lot of time and hassle.

I’d just trade it in to Apple for $400, it’s guaranteed and it’s safe. I’ve used Swappa with very good results but, for 6 month’s after each sale I was always worried the buyer would file a claim with paypal or claim some other BS. It never happened but, I’ve read many horror stories on this very forum of problems with ebay, Amazon and yes even Swappa. The extra $50 you’ll make isn’t worth the hassle IMHO.

this. Apple doesn’t pay more for the storage, so you actually make out quite well. $400 is great value and hassle free

I would say this: if you're going to sell privately, sell with Swappa and nothing else.

If you're trading in an iPhone, go with Apple. It's just the most convenient and they're true to their word in my experience.

Everyone’s experience differs some. When I put my xs max up for sale a couple of months ago I posted it on Facebook marketplace(each buyer who was probably a reseller kept offering me Apple trade in value,600$), letgo(all scammers wanting me to ship it) swappa(towards the end got one person to give me close to asking at the end), and finally craigslist. Two years running, Craigslist paid off both on my 8 plus 256gb for 650$ in 2018 and my iPhone XS Max(256gb) for 750$(better than apples 600 trade in offer) ??‍♂️
