Is it worth doing the semi jailbreak and donating or should I wait for the full jailbreak?

Anything asking you for money or a donation is not legit.
"Semi-tethered" or "semi-jailbreak" scams pop up anytime there is a non-jailbroken current version. You open yourself up to whatever it is those people are seeking.
I wouldn't touch it with a 100' pole.
What version of IOS are you running? As the others said, whatever service you are talking about is a scam. I have not seen any " tethered jailbreaks" released in a long time. The 8.0-9.02 jailbreaks, have all been untethered. A "semi-jailbreak" is the same as a "tethered jailbreak."

I did download the semi jailbreak and deleted it after it asked for money too download cydia.
Did I just screw myself some how?
Well I downloaded it and then deleted it right away didn't donate any money.
Do I need to do a restore now?

When you say you downloaded it do you mean on your computer or your device?
I don't know what to tell you honestly. I don't know anything about what you downloaded, I just know that in general these things are scams. As long as you didn't give them any personal information I'd speculate that you are ok, but I'm not a security expert.
I was more worried about my information from my phone being out there then my phone not working.
