Hi Guys,
I was just thinking of an accessory that I wouldn't mind having for my small capacity macbook air, and even rmbp.
It would be a snap-on plastic case, that protects your macbook not unlike what we have these days from Speck etc. However, there would be a protruding section just to the lower edge of the top piece which protects the back of the screen, where you can have a "slot" (or protruding covered enclosure) which fits a hot swappable 2.5" HDD. There would be a perfect lengthed usb 3 cable that runs along the edge of the cover to the nearest USB port. There would be an on/off switch on the adapter so that you don't have to keep it powered on at all times, thus saving battery life.
Obviously this would affect the cleanliness of the macbook, but with option to carry the macbook and a 2tb hdd without any extra pockets, long cables, adapters, or it sliding around while on the move or on your lap, would greatly improve the portability and scalability of the macbook.
Here is my visualization:
What do you guys think? does this already exist?
Oh I pronounce it the "Spay-Hud"
