I received my Sena Ultraslim Black iPhone 4 case today - dispatch and delivery was very quick - dispatched 2nd July arrived AM on the 5th July in the UK - considering one of those days was a Sunday that is a good delivery time via international FedEx.

The case is basically a perfect slip case - its form factor is small - it adds zero bulk, in fact arguments could be made that it makes the phone look smaller - black is slimming! :)

It is a tight fit - although mine fits in with a Zagg invisible shield and vinyl side stickers from luckylabs

The case has 6 small holes on either side of the case to allow the ringers etc to be heard (these can be seen in the photos above).

The case has Sena branding on one side, the other is blank (pictured)

Overall the ultraslim is a classy looking slip case - if you want a slip case - the Sena is decent value and a quality leather case with a small form factor and given the colour options, you should be able to find something to your tastes.

I own a bumper as well and will alternate with the Ultraslim - the Sena allows me to use the phone as apple intended (no case) and still have it protected from bumps and bruises in transit.

Vinyl antenna stickers

I got these from luckylabs on etsy - 3 sets of them for $9 - they also allowed me to mix and match colours so I got a white, green and a red set.

The holes are all pre cut and they have done an excellent job.

Each set comes in 3 pieces and basically run from each dividing black line on the iPhone's antenna to the next - this seems to make the most design sense and makes installation a breeze.

I bought these stickers for cosmetic reasons only - I wanted my phone to look a little different - OEM+ however on the signal issue - I haven't had issue with dropping calls etc but for me the stickers make it much more difficult to make the bars drop - not sure why you would want to do this - but for testing purposes, with the stickers on I had to suffocate the phone to get the bars to go down.

You're actually supposed to push up between the two sets of holes to get the iPhone out. I remember buying a Sena case long ago and it saying that in the packaging.

I wish I knew where mine was :( Great little case. I've considered getting one for my iPhone 4.

Yeah that works easily too.

The vinyl stickers for antenna from luckylabs look great. How are they holding up? No peeling from pulling in and out of your sena case?

Only been on a few hours but no - doesnt seem like it will be an issue as the case is smooth.

Luckylabs did provide 3 sets tho too so if they do wear or peel then I have replacements - but it seems like hard wearing vinyl.

nice pics! i am hoping to get my ultra slim today

Thanks - it is a nice little case when you dont really want to use a case. The design suits this too as it is minimalist and subtle - simple and classy. It protects it when its in your pocket etc but frees it up when you want to use it.

Where did you buy the sena case for shipping to UK? I have the same one for my 3G and want to buy one for my iPhone 4. Currently Maikai.co.uk and senacases.com are only accepting pre-orders.

I got mine straight from Sena - I pre ordered a few days after the iPhone launch and recieved it today. they might be taking preorders because the sold out their first batch.......I dont think any of the colour cases have been dispatched yet.

Got mine today as well. An improvement over their original one (back in the 3G days) is that the top flaps are now stitched all around. Previously, those weren't and with time the lining would unstick from the leather. I'm glad they addressed this issue.

And yes, it is initially a tight, but very secure, fit and the best way to get the phone out is to push at the bottom. Up to now I was using my old Sena UltraSlim with my iPhone 4 and was constantly worried because the phone would slip out too easily.

I also got one for my wife's iPad.

Good to hear they take on board customer feedback.

Thanks.

I have the old 3G version too and had to glue the lining back - looking forward to the new stiching!

How's the iPad one?

Just as great. Although, with the initial tight fit, it seems a bit more awkward to get the iPad out of it. You can't just push at the bottom with your thumb like you do for the iPhone one, but the iPad is easier to grab and pull out... if that makes any sense.

The UltraSlim case for iPad also comes in a cloth bag... just like posh women handbags do!

Thanks for the discount code - just used it to pre-order the Sarach Ultraslim.

I had the Ultraslim for my 3G, but kind of thinking the squareness of the 4 won't work so well with the seams resting against them from the standard Ultraslim - anyone got any experience of this?

Sorry I dont really understand the question.

I'm not a big fan of cases because I have the IS on my phone and I'm cared it would start to peel. But I did order some of that side tape. I may or may not end up buying a case. I'm contemplating going naked ;) just like my 3GS.

OK, so the 4 is box shaped with flat edges - my concern is that the seams of the Ultraslim will bulge out against these, just wondering how you're finding it?

Not at all, the ultraslim is a perfect fit for the iPhone 4 and has been shaped to suit the phone's shape - so there is no way it will 'bulge' the case because they are a very similar shape.

The vinyl sticker and Invisible Shield are holding up well and are not peeling or anything from getting in and out of the case.

Only danger is if you grab the phone by the screen and back to pull it out - it sometimes skews the Invisible Shield a little - but it is easily fixed and there is no issue when you push the phone out from the bottom.
