I'd like to be able to send audio from my tv to my iPhone to basically turn it into a wireless speaker/headphone.

This seems like such a no-brainer feature. Wireless headphones are always so bulky & expensive. ...granted it might be a drain on the battery, but you're home anyway, and then you could use ANY headphones (earbuds, cans...whatever) wirelessly.

Does anyone know if this is possible? ...via app, 3rd party hardware, or hack?

I know Rogue [amorphous organism] (not trying to advertise) has a reverse audio app for Mac that will transmit audio from a mac to your iOS device, but I'm looking for general TV audio (cable, DVDs, games, ...etc) transmission.

    Thanks, T.

It seems to me like you'd have to have some type of hardware transmitter plugged into the headphone jack of your TV which would then send the audio to you...phone I guess? Maybe to you computer then patch through to your phone. I mean, in theory it should be possible, but it would probably be easier to just get a pair of wireless headphones and do it that way.
