Send email notification on sleep or on wake up?

Hi there,

Have been searching the net for days now, but didn't find an answer for this question:

How do I make my new mac mini send me an email notification when it goes to sleep or wakes up? Is there a way to do this from the terminal (unix commands) or with an apple script?
