Sending an iPhone 4s abroad

As long as its a GSM phone and not locked to a carrier the phone itself will not be a problem. Declare it honestly and mark it as a gift and you will have no problems.
 
Stupid as it sound but there might be export restrictions due to encryption in the device. China might be more problematic compared to others.
