sending fax documents

    How can i send a fax document through OSX. If there is no option through MacOS are there any easy to use apps for sending fax documents?

    There are online fax services that you can use. Google with the term "fax service" and you will get a list.

    I had no idea a fax modem ever existed! No i don't have one.

    AFAIK, there are no fax capabilities built in to any recent mac. I don't know of any free fax service. Looks to me like you will have to spend some money to send your fax. You can buy a fax modem from amazon. There are cheaper ones there than the one I linked to, so look around if you are looking to save money.

    For small/short faxes, the free online services I've used are gotfaxfree.com and faxzero.com.

    I have a free eFax account for receiving the occasional fax but I'm not sure they offer that anymore.
