This appears to now be gone in iOS 8.3. (And maybe earlier.) Is this not something we can do on an iPhone any more?

C C DM macrumors Sandy Bridge Apr 15, 2015 #2 You can do it while the iMessage hasn't been delivered yet, but once it has been delivered that option isn't available anymore. It's been like that pretty much since the beginning (of iMessage).
