Is there a way to beam my contact info to another phone whether it is an iPhone or Android so that it shows up in their contacts?

You could use the application Bump.

Both of you use the free app Bump and you just bump your phones together.

Or, just go in to your contact card on the phone and click "share contact" to send your contact details as a .vcf to the other person via email or text message. Pretty simple.
