What is this ridiculous, irritating thing about sending WhatsApp message on WhatsApp on the iPhone ?? Why can you not send a message on WhatsApp ? Without saving the contact ? is it possible ?

Because this is not a problem. You’re trying something that the app has not been developed for.

There is a way outside the APP to do it. Just googled it.

But I’m in a group on what’s app. None of the people in the group are saved in my contacts but I can still send messages in the group.

Ok. Not sure why they would need to google it as I can send messages to people not in my contacts list directly from the app. I didn’t google anything.

‍♂️ I’m still confused about what’s going on here.

Within a group you can send messages because the person is part of the group already anyway but on iOS there seem to be no option to send a direct message to a person if you don’t have their number saved within your device contact list.

Where do you see that option on iOS?!

in Android this is possible..you can create a new watsapp message directed to a number not saved in your contacts.. but in ios, there is no keyboard option while creating new message..its the way the app is created

Well I’m in a group on what’s app and none of the people in the group are in my contacts list yet I can send messages in the group. Also look this person is not in my contacts list but I can still send them messages.

@Shanghaichica So in a group you can send messages and you can respond to messages if someone - not on your contact list - has messaged you but you can’t initiate a message if that person is not on your contacts.

So if it's possible and there are ways to do it, then what's the question in this thread? And why can't any of that be mentioned here? o_O

Oh I see. Make sense now. That person messaged me first which must be why I can send them messages back. Thanks.
