Here's a good one. Last week, I sent one of our employee's 2017 MBP for repair because it has a little incident with a glass of wine. Today, I received it back and repaired along with someone else's MBP! They came in two separate boxes and it wasn't a fedex issue, the incorrect delivery tracking number was to me too.

Obviously, the depot screwed up because if you track my repair ID it doesn't even show the repair was completed yet. I texted the other customer and gave her the heads up that I had her laptop and I was going to make sure it got back to her, which is easier said than done because I spent over an hour on the phone with support trying to explain what happened. I simply want them to generate a fedex label so I can send this to her but apparently, that's not so easy.

Fortunately, Apple messed up and sent this to an honest company / person!

I can see the conservation in the shipping department going on right about now...
"God dammit Billy, have you been drinking again?"

(and yet this is probably a lot better than the conversations they are currently having over at Intel...):p

CSAT was apparently hit with a ransom ware attack. Everything is back to paper tracking. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was related. But good to hear the honesty!

Interesting, that could easily explain why both repair ids show up as not completed online.

As it turns out, regular Apple Support never got back to me with a fedex label so I reached out to the business team I deal with at my local store and they said just bring it in and we’ll take care of sending it to the customer.... and they gave me a free pair of AirPods for my trouble! Totally wasn’t expecting anything or even thought of that happening. I simply wanted this girl to get her laptop back because ... who woudnt?

This explains why mine was sent to the wrong address last Friday, even though I got a confirmed update of the address change, thanks.
