Is there an easier way to delete messages in "sent" rather than one by one to trash?

Well you can select a bunch of then then hit the delete button. You can set it up to delete messages in that box after a period of time (in the accounts preferences panel).

Hmm.. I tried that- hitting the delete button after highlighting all and it didn't work 🙁 I'll check out the accounts pref.

It should. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of time because it is trying to load a bunch of mail that isn't in its cache or whatnot.
