Order placed at 8:06 local for a iPhone 14 pro max 512gb space black. Initial delivery times showed Sep 16th. However I had to re enter my card info and by the time I had the order time had slipped. I have been pre ordering for the last 7 years or so and always managed to get one on launch day. Those of you that have had orders slip before have you seen your delivery times improve? Normally I wouldn’t care however, I am leaving the country for 4 months on the first so I won’t be able to receive for some time unless some delivery time is made up. Thank you.

That irritated the heck out of me as I could've selected the delivery to the store for pickup at launch instead the 9-16 delivery that mysteriously changed to 9-28. What also stinks is that Apple get's an extra $66 payment from IUP because of the delay of delivery. I ended just deciding to quit IUP and going with Best Buy trade in as they will hopefully ship at launch as I'm also leaving for the next couple of weeks and won't be home on 9-28
You still could get it before the first before you leave the country.
If you live nearby an apple store, and your order is still processing and have not been charged, I'd start this Friday to see if they have any available. Sadly you just have to get their early and stand in line. Just like last year and few years back, they did have lines for walk ins so you could manage to score one.
Other options is, continue to check the apple.com every day. Eventually when Apple store recieves shipments, they will update their inventory and if the one you want is in stock, I'd order it for in-store pick up.
My delivery date is the 26th Sept to the 3rd October after being unable to order due to the App Store phone number bug that so many suffered from.
I don’t think we’ll see any activity or change until next week at the earliest for the second batch. I assume that we’re in the second tier for orders and I would hope that once they’ve got the initial launch day orders out of the way that our orders might come forward by a week or so

I did the pre-pre order and also had issues accessing the store through the app. I was able to get in after 6 mins and was also pushed to this timeframe. I’m also hoping that we get bumped up after the initial launch phones go out. I have an store local so will stop by on the weekend to see if there’s any store stock.
This happened to me. Even though I did the pre-approval, and have been on IUP since the start of it, my phone slipped after one second of having to re-enter my payment info. It also told me Sept.16 delivery and changed when I checked out. So pissed because I would have gladly picked up in store. And of course stores are out of stock now. What irks me even more is that extra IUP payment we will have to pay. I hope it comes earlier but in the past, when my husband’s phone slipped on pre-order day, it didn’t move forward. He got his 2 weeks after me. It’s so annoying.
Lol…it’s too late. I canceled my first order and now every 512/1TB 14 Pro (Max) configuration gives me the same shipping window estimate.
Either way I’m happy to be getting silver. Purple is appealing as a flagship color but Apple’s implementation this time around is not for me.
I’m in the same boat. I’d also like to know if there’s a chance of receiving it earlier than estimated.
Similar here, I had pre-configured the phones I wanted but due to all the various glitches of the website, I could not check out as early as I wanted. So now I am on the Oct3-Oct10 slot. At first I could not even load the pre-configured phones. Had to log out and login a few times and by that time, the order was pushed back.
