Is it possible to make a separate wifi network for my children? I want a network that I can disconnect easily if they aren't not behaving. I can't take down my regular network because my husband works from home. I don't want to try collect my kids devices..would rather just take the network down. Can I do that from same modem? Can I have two routers?

So just attach a router into the first one and then set it up? That's seems easy. Thanks!

Some routers have an access control page. It lists all the devices on WIFI. Next to each device is an allow/block option. Simply click on block and the device is blocked from the WIFI network. Click allow and they have access. I use it all the time to regulate the usage in the house.

Your router may have this feature and you would not have to spend another penny.

Just make sure if you are connecting the second Router, make sure to disable its DHCP server, that way you don't accidentally get into a Double-NAT situation. Basically you would setup the second one in Bridge mode which turns it into a WAP. You might need to assign it a separately IP address and make sure your router keeps that as a reserved IP away from its DHCP server

Newer routers gave a Guest WiFi option that sets up a separate SSID that can be limited or turned off. I'd check that before buying another router.

Most routers will allow you to do time of day access rules based on MAC address.
