My parents have been sharing the same AppleID for a few years now on their iPhones, and I have convinced them to finally separate their AppleID's to resolve the issues that go along with multiple individuals sharing the same AppleID (and use Family Sharing instead).

The main question that I have is, how can I make sure I log out everything (iCloud, iTunes, iMessage, FaceTime, App Store, etc...) on one iPhone in order to switch to a new AppleID? Or would the cleanest method be to wipe the iPhone and start from scratch? I am okay with wiping the phone, but my only concern is restoring data. I don't think I can just do a backup and restore, because the restore will restore the original AppleID credentials, right? I know restoring iTunes and App purchases would be a challenge, but I think I am only looking to restore contacts, text messages, and photos.
