I have always bought the new iPhone on release day ( or pre-ordered ). Last year they changed the "upgrade" pricing and I ended up paying a discounted amount from the full amount because I was not eligible for full upgrade pricing. Which I was okay with.

So I checked my eligibility status for the new phone ( expecting the same discounted-from-full pricing ) and that price scheme doesn't kick in until Sept 21, 2 days AFTER it's release?!

Same dilemma here. Are you on AT&T as well? I'm wondering if I should call them. Seems like if I remember right they will update the date on it's own but a phone call wouldn't hurt I'm thinking.

I bought my 5 on Sep 22, 2012. But when I logged on to my ATT account the other day it showed that I was eligible for a full upgrade?

This seems to be called the "partial" or "early" upgrade pricing that ATT offers. ATT has let people get move their FULL upgrade date to earlier within the month, but has this been done for the PARTIAL upgrade? Or more specifically, with the iPhone 6, has anyone seen their eligibility date for the partial upgrade move from Sept 19th to the 21st?

I've tried calling ATT to ask but there seems to be very little knowledge on the partial upgrade at all, and no luck getting the date changed. Very frustrating.

I am in the same boat with a date of 9/22 but just dialed *639# and it says I am currently eligible now to get the full upgrade for $40 upgrade fee or through NEXT.

If your bill has been paid on time you should be contract free as of Sept 1st, I also bought the iPhone 5 on launch day and I am able to upgrade now.

I just spoke with AT&T. They won't bump my upgrade date to the 19th.

They will not bump your date. They didn't do it last year either. I called two times I am a 17 year customer with the Pham account and they would not bump my day nine days earlier

They can do it for any other phone just not the iPhone
