If you have the 2.1 beta 4 for the Touch why don't you have it for the iPhone 3G? We're they released to a separate group of testers?
If so, has anyone tested the 2.1 beta on a 3G? If it's as stable as quoted here it would be great news for everyone.
Will 2.1 be free for Touch (iTouch if it annoys you) users or will we be charged?
Then you would think you WOULD be looking forward to it. Firmware 2.1 just might be the fix you need.
I'm crossing my fingers for GPS on the Touch.
Let's hope so, the worst thing would be for this event to be a lame duck.
In other news: WAAAAA WAAAAAAAH WHEREZ MY MPB APPEL!!! WAHHH!!! YOU SHOULD DIVERT ALL OF YOUR HUNDREDS OF EMPOLEEYS AND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO LABTOP JUTS BECUZ I WANT A NEW NOTEBOK!!! WAHHH{ WAHHHHH! WHO CARZ ABOUT IPODS!!!!
Maybe I'm just being pedantic, but shouldn't the title read: "September 9: iPones 2.1, iTunes confirmed? Ars!"
One new tidbit, however, is that Ars was told that there are parts of the iPhone 2.1 firmware "that were specifically removed from developer seeds in order to keep them secret from the world."
Apple may not have as many security problems as MS - but MS still makes products that dont require a .x update within weeks of the initial program offering.
THAT IS WHAT WE NEEEEEEEED!!!!
Come on already!
Copy and Paste this: Add Bluetooth Stereo Ad2p
This is strictly iPod event. Nothing new for iPhone but just new update with Push.
Later when Macbooks will be announced then Apple is gonna talk about new iTunes 8 and iDisk for iPhone.
are you confirming that or is that just your guess?
