I'm still on a XS Max, so I'll be watching this year's iPhone intro with a critical eye. I like waiting several years between upgrades — it's cheaper, and I get to be completely wowed when I finally do upgrade! e.g. I went directly from a 2011 iMac to an M1 Pro 16" MBP, which I believe the Apple Store rep enthusiastically described as a "spaceship upgrade" at the time.

I am just here for the RC builds.. but good luck all of you.. maybe the Apple Gods shine bright on you…

Another spaceship upgrader here!
2011 iMac —> 2022 M1 Mac Studio!

Is there a way to pause Apple's live streams or go back a few seconds? They usually disable that functionality for their YouTube streams and on their website.

I feel like I have always been able to pause the stream if I needed to and pick up where I left off. Maybe I am just imagining it, but I am almost positive I've done it through YT more than a few times with these live streams.

Interesting, I distinctly remember being annoyed with Apple's streams becaue they don't enable DVR functionality in their live-streams.

I found a Firefox plugin that force enables DVR in all streams, let's see if this works.

"Hey Abed, real stories -- they don't have spoilers. You understand that TV and life are different, right?"

I kid, but the whole spoiler-free thing strikes me as kind of odd.

I mean I kind of get it, it's like not wanting to know the score of a game for a team you support that you can't watch live, but . . . it's product announcements.

It's like Christmas morning for some of us and we like to be surprised by the new features. :)

I mean, it kind of is for me too. I'm here, I've been here many times before, I will be here again.

But . . . we can all appreciate it's a little weird right? If I miss the stream, I've never considered avoiding news so I can watch it unspoiled though . . .

Not to mention, if you follow any social media at all, it's going to be everywhere within 5 minutes of it coming from Apple's mouth. There is no "avoiding it".

Hell I am surprised Alexa and Amazon have not already started recommending products for a phone I haven't even seen yet to be honest.😄😁

Oh, it's very weird, lol. But here we are.

USB-C is stupid. keep lightning. USB-C crybabies are 100% wrong.

Also, you realize USB-C is now on most of their products, right? This has been a transition for a while now.
