Or you could just right click the app --> get info --> drag and drop new icon onto the icon in the top left corner of the get info box.

That's how I change mine. If I want to change it back, just CMD + X on the top left corner icon, and it goes back to default.

yea that way is faster but i found that it doesnt for for me sometimes. but if it does it's way easier for sure.

Thank you :) On certain apps that doesn't work, though. I'll give it a whirl with the aforementioned apps and see. THx!

DeusInvictus7 Just to say it worked. Thanks a lot :). Although a word to the wise if you need to do the same thing: Simply converting a PNG to an icon won't work. It has to be a ICNS file otherwise you just end up getting the weird "no icon" icon..

Very plain-jane, but since installing Snow Leopard I've decided to keep it simple for awhile:

While it's nice that Snow Leopard now names your Screenshots (instead of just "Picture 1", "Picture 2", etc) I wish it didn't use spaces, which wreaks havoc with URLs. I do like SL's Aurora way better than Leopard's Aurora though.

Started to experiment with GeekTool and Bowtie. Here is my first submission. Wallpaper is from interfacelift "The Opal Lake" by Macindows.

Very nice. I'm going to have to find that. I've been playing with Geektool for the first time as well. This is what I have so far (I got the background for this thread)

Can someone please help me? I have had no luck finding "iCal" in candybar, I need so I can change my iCal icon to match the others.
If anyone has the time to help me, shoot me a PM.
Thanks.

That's a great, um, font you've got for Geektool up there. What is that? Is it stock, or did you pick it up somewhere?

Really? I've used just plain PNGs and JPEGs of the icons I want and at least for the apps that I need on my dock, they worked perfectly. I guess mileage may vary, but that's my experience with it.

New here but some of you may know me from [H]ard. Had my MacBook Pro 13" for almost 2 months now, its my first Mac, and I am loving it. (I still have my PC though, there are just somethings that it is better for).

Back on topic here is my desktop, BMW M3.
