Yesterday, I purchased a 13" rMPB. Whilst setting it up I noticed that it states that it is a Late 2012 model. However, the model number on my box is MD212LL/A. While I understand the differences between the two are minimal, it makes it no less disheartening to find that they do not match up.

Has anyone else encountered this? Apple support told me that it was manufactured in 2012 but since "Apple is good to its customers, they updated your drivers for you."

    I'd appreciate any insight.

MD212LL/A is the late-2012 model. The comparable 2013's part number is ME662LL/A.

Where did you buy your system?

That is the correct, and only, model with an 128GB SSD.
