iPod touch Serial Number

Can you find the serial number on the box, without opening it?
And if u can then where?
If not then where can u find the serial number?

much appreciated because i want a 38 not a 37 at best buy

not had mine yet but i assume it should be on the back probably somewhere near the barcode (thats the usual area)

Just watched an unboxing video and it looks to me like the serial number is on the bottom of the back (possibly towards the left side). Every Apple product in recent memory has had the sn clearly labeled so it shouldn't be too difficult find it.
