Lol!!! $1400 for a watch? GTFO.

PS. Not attacking OP
That is the same price the Edition models currently cost.

I would place a bet that S4 will only have one screen size.
You think they are going to get rid of the 38mm and 42mm size offering and only offer 1 size? This would mean that either 42mm or 38mm bands would be obsolete. Someone with tiny wrists would have the same size as someone with large wrists. I cannot see them doing away with the different sizes. I could see them adding a larger model before reducing the number of size options.

In the scheme of watches that’s not even expensive. Obviously it’s up to the consumer to decide if a $1400 Apple Watch is worth it but it’s not an insane price for a watch.

For a *tech* watch, it certainly _is_ an insane price. Especially for something that will have limited support. In terms of mechanical watches, no, $1400 is not insane, considering they can be priced around $10,000 for some Swiss models for example.

But this isn’t positioned to be just a ‘tech’ watch, if you just want an Apple Watch they have an alternative for you.
For what it’s worth I wouldn’t buy an edition at that price either, but I’m not the target customer obviously and that doesn’t mean it’s not priced accordingly.

Interesting. I never thought about the S1 being discontinued -I figure they may give it another year ... though in thinking about it more and seeing what they currently offer (S1 and S3) you may be right.

I’s love a ceramic watch. Looks so good. That price tag tho.
