Series 1 not showing watchOS 5 update as available

I’m trying to update my Series 1 watch, but the Watch app is saying it’s up-to-date with watchOS 4.3.2. Anyone else seeing this? Not sure how to get watchOS 5.

Make sure you first update your iPhone to iOS 12.

Did you download iOS 12 on your phone?

Are you sure you have a Series 1 ? (2nd Apple watch generation with dual core)
The first one is called "Series 0"

Figure it out. Still had the beta profile installed on the watch (which didn’t work for the public beta, anyway). Removed that, restarted the watch, and now watchOS 5 is available.

It's commonly known at that but the official name is 1st generation which makes it even more confusing.
