So my S0 appears to most likely be finished (I had it since the launch & just recently the battery has been depleting rapidly) I have a genius bar appt tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure the battery is toast, so I'll prob have to get another one.

Now that I'm going to be upgrading, I'm debating between Series 1 & 3. I know, spec wise, 3 is obviously better, but coming from a S0, I'm thinking Series 1 could also work.

Just wanted to get some opinions of those who've made the jump recently from their Series 0.

I'm seeing a lot of deals on the series 1 now, but also know the 3 may be around longer....

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I upgraded from series0 to series 3 because, my battery was also failing. If the series1 meets your needs, now and future I say go series 1 and save some cash. Remember though that Apple could drop support for it next year.

I would suggest that you take a look at catching a Series 2 out in the retail chain (they are sill in inventory a some locations).

I went to S3 GPS after considering a S1. You can never have too much battery, too much processing power, too much future proof (actually future resistance), too much water resistance or too much Siri:D.

I'm liking it! The battery life is crazy! (At least so far).

Do you know if the animated faces drain the battery quicker? (I recall that happened in series 0)

Just starting to get familiar with it again. I set it up as a new watch, so I could start from scratch, (i.e. new experience :)

The 3 is nice. I just need basic functions, wireless music for exercise, so I picked up a used 2016 Series 1 for $130. I had a 3 LTE but decided it's $ more than I needed.

I would say the majority are likely not opting for LTE yet, but it will get there eventually. Series 2 is everything Series 3 almost is, with the exception of the LTE, additional storage and audible Siri.

I’m making the same upgrade tomorrow. My series 0 is getting long in the tooth and the battery life is quite poor now. I would have bought a series 2 however I can’t find any where I am. There was one left in a shop in my town centre but when I went on Monday it had already been sold. Where I live you can only find the series 1 or series 3. The series 3 is only £80 more than the series 1 so I think it makes more sense to get the series 3 as I will most likely hold on to it for a while. I’ve had my series 0 since launch. I’ll go to the Apple store tomorrow and pick it up. Just need to decided if I’m getting the white or rose gold. Probably the white as my iPhone X is silver and I’m not using my rose gold 7 plus anymore.

Also add a (working) barometer (nice to get floor counts in my home without carrying my iPhone) and a faster S3 processor, W2 chip, possible Gorilla Glass 5 vs 4???, AirPower mat support and GLONASS support. Maybe more????.
