I upgraded my AWU1 to an AWU2 in November 2024. Nothing will get me to upgrade for a few more years. I have the blood oxygen sensor, and I have a blood pressure cuff at home that syncs to Apple Health. I’ve already been diagnosed with high blood pressure and am on 2 meds for it. I also use the Stelo CGM for my pre-diabetes diagnosis and that syncs to Apple Health as well. I don’t want to upgrade until Apple adds more health sensors.

Wearing a S10.

Blood pressure monitoring would be something.

Glucose monitoring would be the holy grail... but I am sure this will take still a lot of time until this comes to an Apple Watch.

Please no - Focus on better battery, not thinner! If you want thinner, they have other models for that - The Ultra series is supposed to be rugged and a better battery would be way more usable than a couple of mm.
Well I'll definitely take a more efficient battery at the current thickness too.

I'd love a thinner Ultra, as the current Ultra is too big for me. I don't think they should make the Ultra thinner/smaller, just make a smaller size one, like how the regular watch comes in two sizes.

Blood pressure monitoring would do it for me too! Plus, the return of the blood oxygen sensor would be nice.

The ability to use the next Ultra without needing an iPhone would be an instant buy for me. With Apple apparently no longer interested in selling phones to customers like me, the idea of a standalone AppleWatch appeals to me.
I've been on and off using my Ultra as a phone replacement when I can, which works fine for me everywhere in my life except for when I’m in the car or working. I guess I don’t need CarPlay, but it sure would be nice if I can at least connect my watch to my car through Bluetooth (I used to do this all the time in my previous car). And at work, my iPhone is used often for inventory control - which I can always make a note of something on my watch and update whatever from my iPad later on. .

Haven't really understood why the Ultra isn't available in two sizes as well - maybe the battery just can't be "double" in the smaller size?

My current series 10 meeting its untimely demise. Otherwise I'll be happy with it until watchOS updates end like I was for the four years I had my original SE.

I wonder if Apple could make better products if they didn’t waste so much effort on qualifying brand new annual updates with barely any improvement.

But, to answer the question, I received my AW 10 as a birthday present to replace my AW 4, and I don’t intend to replace it.

If it had accurate blood glucose monitoring, I’d probably update, but I doubt it will. Maybe better heart monitoring could get me to upgrade. But those would be breakthrough disruptive features.

I'm still holding on to my SE (1st gen) and at this point, Series 10 and the Ultra 2 doesn't feel compelling enough for me to upgrade.

I could see me doing an Ultra + Ipad Mini for daily use if my work didnt issue me an iPhone.

They make a thinner Ultra.. it even has the latest Gen S10 processor. Called the Series 10

What about the screen on your wrist now makes you think a bigger screen would be better ?
Many of the coloured watch faces show the bezel being bigger than on the normal watches - not terrible but bigger display in same case size is always welcome
