Hey guys, so I have a 42mm aluminum series 2 that I got for Christmas. I love the watch, but it's been randomly shutting itself off a few times a day. Battery is at 99%, latest software on both the watch and iPhone, I've tried unpairing an reseting as well. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

The best thing to try is by unpairing and restoring from a backup on your phone; if that doesn't work you may have to set it up as a new device.

I had that same problem the first days I started using it, then after a few days the random shutting down stopped.

Strange. If the re-pair does not fix the issue. I would contact Apple and have it replaced. Not acceptable. I have read from other four members experiencing his issues On series Two.

Mine crashed once and switched itself off then on again - I think it may have been an app issue; otherwise I've had no issues with the watch

My S2 would randomly reboot when I first got it running watchOS 3.0, at least once every 2 days. Since upgrading the watchOS it does not reboot randomly anymore. Sometimes now though when tapping on an app in the app launcher the whole watch will lock up for about 5 minutes, which then I have to do a hard reboot......Mine is on 3.1.1.

The random shutting off with the Series 2 seems to be happening more frequently than not. Hopefully Apple releases an updated software patch, that would likely fix it.

This has happened to me twice now with the Nike Run app. During my runs the watch goes into Power Save Mode, so it will only show the time. Reboot the watch and there was 60% and 80% battery each time. Very annoying.

Since I purchased my S2 a few months back, mine has rebooted once for no reason and one time at night it shut off. No idea why. That's it so far. Hopefully not a real problem but the reboot happened about a month ago and the power off was last week. I guess it's possible I did it accidentally.

I do know some forum members mentioning they inadvertently re-started or turned the Apple Watch off by hitting the power button. I think I did it at least once.

How do you power off inadvertently? Don't you have to hold the button and still swipe?
