i am a apple guy through and through have a series 3 with cellular through Verizon and debating on going to a 4, looking for input is it worth it? It’s kinda middle of cycle and it’s a regular retail do it or hold off? My three is great I use health and fitness apps daily and enjoy the convienence of it, at some point I need to stop thinking I need every new apple item that comes out
    Thanks for your input

If you already have a 3 that works fine and does everything you expect out of it, then my opinion is to hold off on the 4. You are already quite a ways into the selling year and the 5 will be coming up right about when your 3 maybe slowing down or losing its edge on battery life.

I have the series 3 cellular as well. Great watch. I am waiting to see what the next watch offers. To me, the series 4 doesn't offer enough of a upgrade over the series 3.

A lot of people have said the Series 3 has better battery life than the Series 4, but some say the opposite. Depends on how you use it.

I recently upgraded my 3 to a 4. Here are my thoughts.

I told myself if the next model was thinner I would upgrade. I do notice the lower profile and like it. Less chance of catching it on things.

The larger screen is so nice. This itself was worth the upgrade.

Battery life so far has been the same as my 3. I’m a light user, but with 30 minutes of exercise using gps each day I can still get a full 2 days out of the battery.

The new faces are nice. The extra complication slot on the Infograph modular face is a welcome addition.

Let me ask you this, what would compel you to want to upgrade from your Series 3 to the Series 4? Do you think you could ask justify the price difference? If yes, then there’s your answer, if no, then the Series 3 would likely be perfectly fine until this coming fall, to see if Apple releases a Series 5 or not.

Absolutely worth it. The speed and the screen size make a huge difference.

Add on top the better watch faces. ECG when it works will be a good addition.
