I’ve switched mobile networks to EE which is the only one that supports the Apple Watch in the UK.....

So now I’m tempted to upgrade my series 1 to a series 3.

When looking at private adverts I’m unsure if some are LTE or non-LTE.

Am I right in thinking the LTE box shows the red dot on the crown whereas the nonLTE shows the normal grey crown?

I know the physical Watch has the red dot but wanted to check the packaging....

Quickest way to check is to look at the bottom of the box. In addition to the serial number, there will be an EID and an IMEI for the cellular model.

Thanks, some of the photos are rather minimal and low res on eBay etc and so it’s handy knowing if something is LTE or not without drawing attention to the fact that it’s the more expensive model ;)

If I can read the bottom of the box I’ll look for that!

Thanks.

I’ve just bought an X so justifying it is pretty hard.... but 6 months free connection via EE is making me consider it.
Yeah it will be worth it.

Tested it out taking the dog for a walk and it's great. Music works great with air pods and just the watch and i don't even need my wallet going to the co-op. Can just use my watch for payment too.

I'm all in with EE now. with the x and ipad pro.

I’d have to ask why are they selling something so new, is it still locked to a phone etc.

For the cost just buy new from Apple and save a load of potential hassles.

You talking about when taking out a new line with EE on contract?

in terms of cost it makes sense to go with them if you don't want to pay the upfront cost of the watch but yes it's easier to buy from apple and at least that way you get the first 6 months free

I ended up getting one from Facebook Marketplace.

Advertised for £300 which is a bargain and got it for £280.

So far no issues - it was unused and still sealed.

I paid via PayPal and paid the seller a little more as I selected payment for goods/service and that incurs fees. Total cost £290.
