Series 3 pre-order refunded?

I pre-ordered the series 3 Apple Watch and was charged the full amount a few days ago (the funds had been fully deducted from my account, it wasn’t a pre-charge), however yesterday when my order status changed from “processing” to “ready to pick up”, the funds were refunded to my account. Is this normal?

My guess is when you go to pick up the Apple Watch, the funds will be removed again from your account. If they're not, one way or the other, Apple will take their money for the product from your account.

Thanks for the advice. I picked it up and they said I’ve already paid for it. Didn’t charge me and let me walk out with my pre-order. The funds are still in my account and no pre-charge is logged.

I’ll leave it for a few days, maybe the system’s delayed. If you don’t hear from me then either it all worked out, or Apple’s ninja got me.

Definitely strange. My only advice, is don't don't spend that money on something else, when you least expect it, Apple might withdraw that money out.

Payment finally went through, I have paid my debt.
Kinda sad they didn't send their ninja to take me to their new headquarters though.
