Series 4 activity ring?

Hi
I upgraded from first Apple Watch to a series 4

The move ring is much tougher to close than the previous watch. The target number is the same.

I’m a wheelchair user and obviously have that set correctly

Has anyone noticed the same since upgrading disabled or able bodied
