I never got my watch replaced
It’s annoying! Mine thankfully fully charges after the previous update. In the last week, twice I’ve got it off charge in the morning and it’s felt unusually hot. I’d recommend letting apple know, either via a genius or phone support. I logged my charging fault with a genius. If they ever acknowledge a fault in the future, I’ve got my fault logged.
Good luck.

Mine seems to have settled down over the last 2 to 3 days - each morning I got up and it was fully charged, so I'll just continue to monitor and see how it goes

Not to bump an old thread, but my series 4 44mm does the same thing as OP. Here's what I noticed:

- When connected to the puck, my watch will charge for a few minutes, then stop.

- Sometimes it reconnects, other times it does not.

- Takes a couple hours of me hovering over the watch to make sure it reconnects with the charger for the s4 to charge properly.

- Most interestingly, it seems to charge better when in Airplane mode.

- Also interesting, when connected to the wall plug, it doesn't charge nearly as well when using a power bank. The power bank provides a more consistent flow.

- Keep in mind this is WatchOS 6.1.1

- I've also done hard resets, and wiped the s4 and set it up as new. When it was set up as new, it seemed to charge better, but still very inconsistent.

- The charging puck seems to work perfectly with my brother's S2 as well.

- I've recently removed 3rd party apps and will see how that affects the charging.

Hopefully there is a solution?

Did anyone resolve this? I now have this issue with my S5 right after the recent 6.1 update. It rarely goes over 77% and the two times it has, it drains from 100% to 77% so fast you can actually watch it drop. It's almost as amazing as it is frustrating.

I have the same issue with an S3 that I got new 2 weeks ago. Only in the 70's when I take it off the stand in the morning. I have installed a new third party cable that has the lightning port split as well so I may use the old cable and see about that. It's also connected to a usb splitter ( cheap furniture one) that my iphone 10 is also charging on so that could be contributing.

Switched back to the apple charging cord and it goes to 100% everytime now. I guess the 3rd party cable sux0r
