Series 4 OS5 Mail Notifications

Is anyone else having issues with push notification to their watch?
Notifications from my gmail account have been super random and unreliable.
I’ve tried tinkering with all the appropriate settings to no avail.

same here. I think it may have something to do with the fact that infograph/modular face cannot have mail app. AW4/wOS 5 is such a hurried, incomplete release.

I don’t even get notifications on the other watch faces for my gmail account. If I set it to mirror my phone is seems to work ok.
I only want notifications from my gmail account on my wrist, not from my exchange account
