Series 4 Space Black Stainless Steel Sport Band Not Black

I picked up a 44mm SS Space Black Series 4 watch today, and the sport band that comes with it is noticeably lighter in color, actually gray in fact, compared to my series 0 and 2 bands. Has anyone else notice this?

I prefer the black color. Am I forced to purchase an "older" band off of ebay or some place else to get a "black" band? This seems silly!

I think is looks amazing. The lighter color is a nice touch. I have a S0 space black, black band that’s still new and it is indeed black.

I saw this thread last week and just received my S4 SBSS and I honestly do not like the lighter color of the black sports band. It’s very noticeable outside in sunlight. If i had known this a little over a month ago i would’ve opted for the option with the black Milanese loop since I was going to buy this band anyway. I ended up ordering the option with the sport band b/c I definitely do not like the sport loop in black. I hate all the colored specs inside the band.

I wish the series 2 had a lighter color. My old black has been sitting in a box since day two and I got a different color.

It's definitely lighter, even a little more chalky than Anthracite. From left to right: S2 Black, Black/Cool Gray, Anthracite/Black, S4 Black and finally Gray
