Hi all, I had all the series and now I got series 5 but for some strange reason all my notifications come in as a blur until I raise my wrist . I never see this on any other and I looked at all settings .. is this just part of the always in feature ?
Thanks all

If you go into settings in the watch, then display, there is a setting for always on display that you can choose to hide your sensitive info so text messages, appts, etc will come across as blurred. You can disable that and your messages will display nirmally.

That setting has nothing to do with what the OP is talking about and is only used to hide complications on the actual watch face.

It determines whether or not complication on the watch face such as upcoming calendar events, messages and such get blurred out when your wrist is down.

Most apps will be blurred when your wrist is down.

Hmm, ok. It’s been a while since I used AOD. It seemed like that was what he was talking about but I guess not.

I only found that out when apps would still blur with that setting turned off, I though my watch wasn't working correctly. I made a call to Apple and at first they even thought the same thing, but then they looked into it and told me what that setting actually does.

So this blur on notifications is normal when you have It always on ?

Yes, I believe it's because of the way the AOD works to save battery by lowering the refresh rate to 1Hz when your wrist is down.
