I just love AOD. And I have RTW turned off. Love how the watchface Gradient (gray) looks when it is ”not turned on”!

I have all the features of my S5 turned on as that’s the reason I bought the watch And battery life is near ly equal to my S4.

I like the AOD functionality (at least with watch faces, definitely not with third party apps) and prefer to keep RTW off.
That way AOD comes more into play and the watch does not try to blind me in dim environments every time I look at it.

Agree 100%. I like how the light sensor works. When I pull back my black jacket sleeve the watch face is on AOD but the screen is mostly dark and then come on when exposed to the light.

As an experiment, I turned wake on wrist raise on .... definitely a noticeable difference in battery life. It was draining around 3% per hour with it off but now it’s between 4% and 5%.

I still get through the day so I’ll leave it on but it has definitely had an effect.

I regularly get under 3% with All features on. I don’t have cellular activated. Maybe that’s the difference between the battery drainage you get and what I get.
