Do we know if the aluminum case phones also have a sapphire screen? Or is it going to be the traditional "stainless steel and above" that receive the sapphire treatment?

Been a while since I upgraded my watch. I have a series 3 SS that I got a week after they launched; I was tired of the scratches my aluminum cased watchface was picking up. I have worn the watch mostly every day since and it still impresses me that the screen is flawless.

So... I will happily skip paying the extra for a stainless body if they have implemented a sapphire screen on the new aluminum bodies. I tried to look on Apple's site, but it just seems to be a flashy ad more than a simple to read specifications page.

Well, I think this answers my question...
Not feeling $700 right now. Guess the series 3 sees another run around the sun lol.

Apple tells us that the Series 6 aluminum version uses Ion-X glass, while the stainless steel and titanium versions use a sapphire crystal. All models have a ceramic and sapphire crystal back.

I'm so surprised why they don't just put this information on the product page or tech specs??? Their customer service must be working overtime for this question alone... :/
