Series 6 with Series 3 Charger?

I still have my series 3 charger and would prefer to keep my series 6 charger sealed in the box. Are these the same chargers? Is it safe to use the series 3 one on the series 6?

I believe that the charging puck is the one thing that hasn't changed since 2015. I have the official Apple charging dock that i have used since 2016 and use that for all my watches that i have had.

Yes. I’m using my S0 charger for my S6.

I wonder if using an older puck affects charging speed on the Apple Watch S6.... Might be worth a test. I still have a 2m cable from the days of my S0, I may do a 'charge time' test compared to the puck that came with my S6.

I have also noticed that the older chargers are thicker than the newer ones.

To answer your question though, yes all genuine Apple Watch chargers work for all Apple Watches 🙂
