LOL, knew that was coming. Even bearded guys need to clean up their necks. But then there's the ladies. Goops... ;)

Apple says 18w or greater, and it needs to be PD-capable. I sort of doubt that there are too many USB-C adapters of 18w or more that aren't PD-capable, but you should make sure that it is if you want fast charging.

Apple's support article suggests a USB-C power charger of 5W and greater will work provided it supports USB-PD.

You're right! :) And I was surprised that the old 29W MacBook adapter will work, since it's not compliant with current USB-C PD rules (and won't work properly with a MagSafe Duo charger).

Apple says 18w 5W or greater, and it needs to be PD-capable (but Apple doesn't specify which version of the USB-C PD standard is required). I sort of doubt that there are too many USB-C adapters of 18w or more that aren't PD-capable, but you should make sure that it is if you want fast charging.

Quote from Apple's support doc:

Yes, I completely forgot about the bearded ladies!... My apologies to all.

Thanks for the replies. I have an extra 18W Apple charger in my drawer so I’ll just use that one to be on the safe side.
