Series 8 and stuttering notifications

Hi, I just upgraded my Series 4 to a series 8 and have noticed that notifications and other alerts stutter on the series 8.

Both watches are on the latest WatchOS but for some reason the series 8 is stuttering. Anyone else have this issue?

Have you tried force restart AW8?
Hold crown and power button until black screen Apple logo shows.
I have not faced this issue on AW8 which is buttery smooth

This happened 2 or 3 times to me just after receiving a notification from WhatsApp.

Some notifications don’t seem smooth on my S8, it could just be the fact that you could be using a phone with pro motion running at 120hz vs whatever the watch is running at

I haven’t so will give that ago now and see how I go. Hopefully that fixes it. Loving everything about my upgrade apart from this little issue.

Not sure it’s that as I’m using it with my 12 Pro Max which as far as I’m aware doesn’t support pro motion.

It happened to me on a Series 8 connected to an iPhone 11 🙁

Unfortunately, still doing it after the latest update. It’s a minor annoyance but I just don’t understand Apple sometimes!

I was going to post the exact same question. From the day I got my Series 8 last year to replace my Series 3 the notifications have never worked properly. The haptic is fine but the red alert dot takes about 1 minute to appear after the haptic. I keep hoping that the next update will fix it, but not so far. As you say, it's a minor annoyance, but annoying all the same.
