Serious iPhone Line Checklist

What kind of stuff will you guys be bringing on Thursday/Friday? How long are you planning on waiting? Will you be waiting indoors or outdoors? What location?

I know there was a thread previously, but most people posted joke items, I'd like to seriously know what kinds of things people are bringing!

From 3:00/4:00 AM to open!
I'll be waiting outside the mall until the doors open.

If your going to an Apple store than makes sure your bring a credit/debit card to cover the cost!

I don't believe they will accept cash which was their policy until they ran out of the first generation iPhone.
 
if your planning on paying with CC, be sure to use Amex. Amex will protect you against lost/damage/price adjustments.

This might be a stupid question, but do i NEED a credit card or will a debit card work as well?... I'm still on my high horse about not getting a credit card. It sucks.
 
You can bring cash and buy a gift card, and then use that to buy the iPhone. loop holes, you gotta love them :cool:
 
credit card in this case refers to any form of electronic "card" payment. Debit cards included. However I'm not sure if they will run it through as a debit card with a PIN number. Sometimes they just run it as credit and you have to sign something but for sure debit cards will be accepted (some banks have certain restrictions).

Is that any Amex card? Just the green one, or blue as well. I think the green one has a yearly fee and Blue doesn't.

It seems excessive to need your Macbook, PSP and books for a - what is it, 4 hours? - wait.

Just bring some books. Or just the PSP.

Presumably the Macbook would just be to let everyone else in the queue know that you're an Apple fan. So instead of bringing that, simply get an Apple bumper sticker and attach it to your forehead.

I'll actually probably leave the Macbook in the car because I am too impatient to wait until I get home to sync. I'm probably going to just bring the books.

I don't need to have my Macbook to let people know I'm an Apple fan, I'll be wearing my hoody that says "God Uses A Mac"!
 
Just bringing a chair, ipod (yeah I dont have an iphone yet, thats why im waiting in line!), and a DS. Plan on getting there 6am ish.

Small camping table to play cards with my buddy.

Porta Jon wee wee bags.
Debit Card for my 2 iphones, one for me and one for my wife.
 
Wait, I paid cash for my iphone at AT&T, why do I need a credit card? Also I'm gonna leave my house at 7:00 and get to the store at 7:30 or so. If there isn't a line, Im gonna go hit McDonalds :)

I just sold my iphone on ebay for $250, so I'm out of a phone for 3 days :(

sounds like a nice setup, i might do something like that. I think they will only let you get one phone though, might want to bring that wife :)
 
meh. I'll see when I wake-up but probably wander in around 9AM and laugh at you as you exit; a tired guinea pig that worked out all the kinks for me.

Yes, pretty much every AMEX has Purchase Protection and Extended Warranty.

Yep! I'll be using either my Gold or Blue. For some reason I felt like the Gold has more specific benefits for purchases, but I was wrong.
