    Hi

Would usually patiently wait for me genius appointment which I have booked for next week it I really need to get some work off my Mac asap!

I have a 2010 13 MacBook pro and it has been showing some signs of slowdown for a while now.

Booted it up today and got is alarming message and it restarts and loops.

    Would really appreciate some help.

    Thanks a lot

If I got a panic message like this, I'd just plug in my bootable backup drive, and try to start up that way....

(Hint: this is one reason why every Mac user should create a fully-bootable backup!)

Have you attempted to boot in safe mode? Hold down the left Shift key while powering on your Mac. Release Shift after you reach progress bar appears under the Apple logo.
