Is this keyboard hack still a threat?

No more than someone sitting at your keyboard with exposed Firewire and Thunderbolt ports.

(Firewire and Thunderbolt have similar exploits.)

Keyboard accumulates critical information and deliberately stops working. It would then be naturally returned to the seller for a [non-hacked] replacement.

Ok... you guys are really grasping at straws here. 😛

I'de be more worried about a meteor hitting me on the tuchus than this happening.
