When you add NAS shares to your login items, you can tick 'hide' to prevent Finder to show a folder window when they are mounted at login/start-up.

I enabled 'hide', but the windows still pop up at every login.

Is there a way to prevent this ?

PS: these are QNAP NAS servers, SMB and AFP enabled, they are connected using AFP (SMB results into 'file in use' errors during copying and moving files, a known issue)

I tried that a long time ago. It just wasn't possible for a finder window.

Then the help is confusing, but it explicitely states that Finder windows won't be opened, but server' folders (shares) can be opened after starting Finder.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a bug or not taking the lag/delay of opening shares or folders on external NAS servers into account.

Maybe this will work: http://apple.stackexchange.com/ques...ith-login-items-at-login-finder-windows-popup
