Just realized my battery wasn't charging even though the magsafe light is orange.

I made an appointment with the Genius bar but will I have to pay for this? this is my first time going there. i know i don't have the warranty.

so basically my battery is done?

If it's not in warranty, probably. Unless you can get a sympathetic Genius. Before you do that, there are a few things to check.

• Install iStat Pro to see how many cycles and what health is reported for your battery.
• Also try resetting the SMC.
