iPad mini Service Contract ??

Ok, I have the iPad Mini and I really love it. I am debating between Applecare+ and Squaretrade service plans. I can honestly say this, if I go with Apple and the new retina display comes out and they have phase this out then I know they might upgrade me to the newer unit if I am not happy. But Squaretrade offers 3 years for $20 more with discount....... So what would you all do??

I love my mini, but if it went to retina next year; I figure if I am unhappy then Applecare+ will upgrade me. What do you all recommend, I only have a week to decide.

Apple keeps replacement devices handy for a couple of years. I doubt they will run out of iPad Minis 1st Gen before your extended AppleCare runs out.
